Baltic states, Poland want EU to ban Russian car transportation
MOSCOW, Mar 23 (PRIME) -- The transport ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland have called on the E.U. to ban car transportation of goods to and from Russia and Belarus and limit entry of Belarusian ships to the E.U. ports, the Lithuanian Transport Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Transport and Communications Minister Marius Skuodis and the partners in Poland, Latvia, and Estonia have sent a joint letter to European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean and the transport ministers of the E.U. countries asking them to ban transportation of goods by road to and from Russia and Belarus and to limit the entry of ships of these countries to the E.U. ports,” the statement read.
